The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with the ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the theory supporting good animal husbandry practice. This unit is designed to give learners an ability to discuss a range of common scientific procedures with reference to minimising animal distress and promoting good quality science.
Note: the IAT syllabus states that guided learning hours for this module are 6.5 hours, with learners expected to devote another 103.5 hours of their time to research and assignment writing.
