This Unit of the Level 2 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science and Technology teaches knowledge and understanding of the theory supporting good animal husbandry practice. The subjects covered are handling, sexing, estimating age and health checks.
Note: the IAT syllabus states that guided learning hours for this module are 4.5 hours, with learners expected to devote another 95.5 hours of their time to research and assignment writing.
